Madison Green is a Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation student at the University of Michigan Flint. She has two cats, Mr. President and First Lady. in her leisure time she loves cooking, theology, and language learning. In addition, she finds time to study Koine Greek.
When Ms. Green was seven years old, she took violin lessons with Teresa Lindhurst and fell in love with music. She later learned tenor saxophone and at 13 years old bought her first upright bass. While in high school she had a variety of experiences including performing in marching band ensembles and jazz combos. She also started her first business by changing guitar and electric bass strings.
As a youngster, she lived in the country on 30 acres of land. She enjoyed fixing STV’s and bow hunting. She has always had a strong desire to work with her hands. She also enjoys printmaking and ink work. She enrolled in printmaking as an apprentice at the University of Wisconsin with Jessica Mueninck-Ganger. As early as she can recall, she knew she wanted to be a luthier. Often, she found herself scrolling through violin making videos more than practicing!
Madison is grateful for the opportunity to be included in the local community of musicians, educators and fellow luthiers. And we are happy to count her as a colleague!
