Many musicians gravitate toward the larger cities to find a great luthier or a qualified shop that sells basses. So, finding a quality shop like Burton City Basses/Mark Schwartz Violins in the town of Burton, Mi (where’s that?!?) near Flint, Mi is quite unusual. The shop is not pretentious, it shares the building with Mary’s Bouquet and Gifts, and there might be a cat in the hallway.
The magic begins once you enter the shop. It is very obvious that Craig and his associates know their stuff. They provide quality workmanship in a timely manner. They take their time to talk with the customer to address all of the needs of the musician and the individual bass.
